Job summary

CloseKnit in the DMV area is seeking a Junior IT Systems Engineer (Athena Support) to deliver hands-on technical support and basic systems administration in a HIPAA-compliant healthcare setting, with a focus on athenaOne EHR.

You will troubleshoot Windows, macOS, and Microsoft 365, manage Intune and Meraki networks, and assist with athenaOne user administration and clinical workflows, collaborating with clinical staff and escalating complex configurations to the EHR administrator.

Qualifications

1–2 years of help desk or systems administration in healthcare
Familiarity with Azure, Intune, and Meraki
Strong Windows and Office Suite skills; basic macOS troubleshooting
HIPAA compliance knowledge applied to IT environments
Hands-on athenaOne experience including user administration and scheduling is required or strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Provide first- and second-level IT support for hardware/software issues using Zendesk
Manage network devices and end-user systems; support AD, Azure, Intune, and Meraki
Administer Active Directory and device management; monitor configurations
Configure and troubleshoot athenaOne user accounts, permissions, and provider scheduling
Document support requests, protect PHI, escalate complex issues to the EHR administrator
