Job summary

The EMR Specialist serves as the practice’s subject matter expert for athenahealth (athenaOne) and the integrations that surround it. You will fulfill provider and staff requests, customize workflows, troubleshoot the EMR and interfaces, test new software releases, and train staff on best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with athenahealth (athenaOne) in a medical practice.
• Ability to build and customize provider workflows.
• Experience testing system changes and managing releases.
• Understanding of HIPAA privacy and security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME support for athenahealth and integrations.
• Respond to user requests via phone, email, and help desk.
• Create and manage user accounts and permissions; ensure access control.
• Lead test plans for new releases and coordinate go-live activities.
• Train staff on best practices and workflow updates.
