Job summary

SAIC CTS team at the New York ARTCC (ZNY) in Ronkonkoma, NY is seeking a Part-time Air Traffic Control Instructor-II to support FAA training services.

The role involves hands-on classroom and simulation instruction, mentoring students and RPOs, and potential curriculum design contributions. A CPC certification and FAA facility experience are preferred; strong teaching and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Minimum of five (5) years of FAA CPC experience controlling live traffic or recent experience as a contract Instructor at an FAA facility.
• FAA CPC certification required with ability to obtain Instructor-II Simulation Laboratory and Classroom Certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the highest quality classroom and/or simulation laboratory training.
• Mentor students and Remote Pilot Operators (RPO).
• Assist in curriculum design and development.
