Job summary

Matrix North American Construction, Inc. (Matrix NAC) is recruiting a Project Engineer to support activities at office locations and active construction sites, including EPC projects for energy, oil and gas, and petrochemical sectors.

You will coordinate, plan, provide technical oversight, and ensure safety, schedule, and budget adherence across diverse disciplines. You will work with project management, field supervision, and subcontractors to resolve issues, assist with estimating, and support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology or Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and good organizational skills
• Ability to perform with some supervision
• Ability to work on multiple activities at one time
• Strong computer skills, including Excel and MS Word are preferred. Additional CAD or 3D modeling software skills is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Represents the Company at job sites with high professional standards
• Interprets engineering drawings, specifications and other technical documents on site
• Documents and assists in resolving technical issues that arise at the job site
• Layouts locations for key facility features under construction
• Performs inspections of incoming materials and tests facility performance
• Assists project management and construction supervision with planning and record keeping
