Job summary

BDO USA, LLP in Houston, TX seeks an Assurance Manager to supervise and review audit engagements across planning, field work and wrap-up, while guiding staff and ensuring service quality. This role drives business development, client relationships and engagement profitability, and requires deep GAAP/GAAS knowledge, strong communication, and leadership.

You will mentor teams on site, coordinate with the Audit Committee, and maintain compliance with SEC/PCAOB standards within a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Five or more years of audit experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting or consulting experience.
• Active licensed US CPA or international equivalent, required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience supervising associates and senior associates
• Ability to develop client relationships and drive business development

Responsibilities

• Supervise audit teams and review work papers and conclusions
• Direct and coordinate audit planning, field work, and wrap-up phases
• Provide on-the-job training to engagement staff
• Ensure engagement profitability including billings and collections
• Advise clients on accounting and internal control matters
• Communicate with Audit Committee and client management
