Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking an Assurance Intern to gain hands-on experience in auditing and accounting. You will start with on-the-job training, learn BDO's audit methodology, and assist the audit staff on engagements.

This role emphasizes problem solving, communication, and collaborative teamwork within a structured program. The internship supports CPA progress, with opportunities to present research findings and grow within the Assurance practice.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting.
• Pursuing a Masters in Accounting is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Participates in structured on-the-job training in GAAP and GAAS.
• Familiarizes with BDO audit methodology to assist with audit stages.
• Provides support functions to audit staff during engagements.
• Communicates with clients and related parties on audit issues.
• Documents work in working papers using BDO templates.
• Contributes ideas and responds to team members’ views.
• Completes an accounting or audit research project and presents findings.
