Job summary

BDO USA offers an internship in our Assurance practice for energetic self-starters pursuing accounting education. You will gain hands-on exposure to GAAP, auditing standards, and client interactions while working with experienced team members who provide coaching and learning opportunities.

The role focuses on problem solving, fact-finding, and contributing to audit work papers using BDO tools, with opportunities to present findings to a panel of Assurance professionals.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting, required.
• Pursuing a masters degree in Accounting, preferred.
• Leadership experience, preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Participates in on-the-job training and learns GAAP and GAAS.
• Familiarizes with BDO audit methodology and supports audit staff.
• Communicates with clients and stakeholders on audit issues.
• Documents work in working papers using BDO tools and templates.
• Contributes ideas to audit teams and presents research findings.
• Completes an assigned accounting or audit research project.
