Job summary

BDO USA, PC is seeking an Intern in our Assurance practice. You will apply your accounting education and organizational skills as you support a dynamic client base, learning procedures and gaining hands-on experience under experienced team members who coach you.

You will participate in on-the-job training, learn GAAP and GAAS, and contribute to audits using BDO methodologies. This internship offers client exposure, working papers, and chances to present findings to Assurance professionals.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting, required.
• Pursuing a Master's degree in Accounting, preferred.
• Actively pursuing CPA credentials.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Participates in a structured on-the-job training program and becomes familiar with GAAP and GAAS.
• Becomes familiar with BDO audit methodology to assist with stages of the audit process.
• Provides support functions to the audit staff during engagement.
• Communicates with clients' customers, creditors, banks and related parties concerning audit issues.
• Prepares and documents work in working papers utilizing BDO templates.
• Contributes ideas to audit teams and presents findings to a panel of Assurance professionals.
• Completes one assigned accounting or audit research project and presents findings.
• Other duties as required.
