Job summary

BDO USA is seeking an Assurance Intern to begin applying accounting education in a dynamic client environment. You will assist problem solving and work closely with experienced team members to gain hands-on experience and coaching.

This internship offers exposure to audit processes, client communications, and the firm’s training program, with opportunities to pursue CPA credits and develop professional relationships.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting.
• Pursuing a master's degree in Accounting preferred.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Actively pursuing CPA credits.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participates in a structured on-the-job training program and become familiar with GAAP and GAAS.
• Becomes familiar with BDO audit methodology to assist with audit stages.
• Provides support functions to the audit staff during engagement.
• Communicates with clients and related parties regarding audit issues.
• Prepares and documents work in working papers using BDO tools.
