Job summary

BDO USA is seeking an Intern in our Assurance practice to begin applying your accounting education and organizational skills while serving our dynamic client base. You will assist in problem solving and learning from experienced team members in direction and coaching to maximize success in your career.

This internship provides hands-on exposure to our practices and people as you participate in structured on-the-job training and contribute to audit engagements.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting, required.
• Pursuing a master's degree in Accounting, preferred.
• Leadership experience, preferred.
• Actively pursuing CPA credits.

Responsibilities

• Participates in a structured on-the-job training program and become familiar with GAAP and GAAS.
• Becomes familiar with BDO audit methodology to assist with various stages of the audit process.
• Provides various support functions to the audit staff during engagement.
• Communicates with the clients' customers, creditors, banks and related parties concerning audit issues.
• Prepares and documents work in working papers utilizing BDO specific tools and templates.
• Contributes ideas/opinions to the audit teams and listens to others' views.
• Completes one assigned accounting or audit related research project and presents findings.
