BDO is seeking an Assurance Intern for Winter 2027 in Baton Rouge. You will begin applying your accounting coursework and developing practical skills by supporting audit teams and learning BDO's audit methodology alongside experienced staff.

Duties include on-the-job training, assisting with audit steps, preparing working papers, communicating with clients, and presenting research findings. Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in accounting; CPA pursuit encouraged; MS Office proficiency

Formación

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Accounting, required
• Pursuing a masters degree in Accounting, preferred
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Actively pursuing CPA credentials

Responsabilidades

• Participates in a structured on-the-job training program and become familiar with GAAP/GAAS
• Becomes familiar with BDO audit methodology to assist with audit stages
• Provides various support functions to the audit staff during engagement
• Communicates with clients' customers, creditors, banks and related parties about audit issues
• Prepares and documents work in working papers utilizing BDO templates
• Contributes ideas/opinions to the audit teams
• Completes one assigned accounting or audit research project and presents findings
• Other duties as required
