BDO USA is seeking an Intern in our Assurance practice to apply your accounting education and organizational skills while serving a dynamic client base. You will work alongside experienced team members, gain hands-on experience, and build critical relationships to advance your career.

Typical duties include participating in on-the-job training, assisting with audit stages, and supporting the audit staff. A CPA path is encouraged and Microsoft Office proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting, required.
• Pursuing a Master's degree in Accounting, preferred.
• Leadership experience, preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Participates in a structured on-the-job training program and become familiar with GAAP and GAAS.
• Becomes familiar with BDO audit methodology to assist with various stages of the audit process.
• Provides support functions to the audit staff during engagement.
• Communicates with clients' customers, creditors, banks and related parties concerning audit issues.
• Prepares and documents work in working papers using BDO tools and templates.
• Contributes ideas to audit teams and listens to team members.
