Job summary

BDO USA, PC invites energetic self-starters to join our Assurance internship in Jacksonville, FL. You will begin by applying your accounting education and organizational skills while learning from experienced team members and gaining hands-on experience with the firm’s practices and people.

You will participate in on-the-job training, work on audit engagements, and develop the skills needed to pursue CPA licensure, with opportunities to collaborate in a team setting and receive coaching.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in accounting bachelor’s or master’s program.
• Pursuing a CPA.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Participates in a structured on-the-job training program and become familiar with GAAP and GAAS.
• Becomes familiar with BDO auditing methodology to assist with audit processes.
• Provides support functions to the audit staff during engagements.
• Communicates with clients’ customers, creditors, banks and related parties on audit issues.
• Prepares and documents work in working papers using BDO templates.
• Contributes ideas to audit teams and listens to other members’ views.
• Completes an assigned accounting or audit research project and presents findings to a panel of Assurance professionals.
• Other duties as required.
