Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in the Williamsburg, VA area to work with the store manager on planning and implementing strategies across operations, customer service, marketing, merchandising, inventory, finances, and safety. This role supports training and supervising staff and engages in customer outreach to generate sales leads.

Typical schedule is 44 hours per week, including evenings or weekends, with eligibility for bonus based on performance.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in retail or customer service preferred.
• Experience in supervising staff or leading teams.
• Experience with selling paint and related products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support business strategies to increase sales and profitability.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
• Build knowledge of all products to enable effective recommendations.
• Build relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
• Complete store administration.
• Ensure compliance with safety, loss prevention, and security policies.
• Maintain store condition and visual merchandising, including displays.
• Assist in staff training, development, performance management, and corrective action.
• Respond to and resolve customer and/or employee complaints.
• Partner with Store Manager to make outside sales calls to grow market share.
