Job summary

The Office of the Bronx District Attorney seeks an Investigative Assistant District Attorney to conduct long-term investigations and trials within the Public Integrity Bureau (PIB). PIB investigates corruption by public servants, and misconduct by uniformed personnel, including NYPD and NYC Department of Correction.

As part of the PIB, you will organize grand jury presentations, prosecute from investigations, and engage in plea negotiations, with strong focus on ethics, confidentiality, and high

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree and admission to the NYS bar in good standing.
• 3+ years of experience performing long-term criminal investigations.
• Grand jury experience and trial experience including violent felonies and sex crimes.
• Experience drafting search-warrant applications, including electronic devices and social media.
• Ability to manage complex investigations and maintain confidentiality.
• Knowledge of NYS courts and the criminal justice system.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations and organize grand jury presentations.
• Prosecute cases arising from investigations; meet discovery obligations and draft motions.
• Engage in plea negotiations; conduct hearings and trials.
• Maintain knowledge of investigative methods and relevant law.
• Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies; communicate clearly.
