Job summary

The City of New York seeks an experienced Assistant District Attorney to join the Public Corruption Bureau in a lateral hire capacity. You will prosecute offenses involving public servants, manage complex investigations, and work with law enforcement partners across state and federal levels.

Commitment to integrity and strong writing, jury trial experience, and familiarity with NY Penal Law are essential. Salary ranges from $115,000 to $148,000 and NY residency is required.

Qualifications

Experience in handling all aspects of a criminal investigation and prosecution.
Excellent writing skills and experience drafting search warrants.
Grand jury and felony trial experience.
Extensive knowledge of New York Penal and Criminal Procedure Laws.
Ability to devise creative solutions to investigatory and legal issues.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Prosecuting offenders committing the above-mentioned offenses.
Managing complex investigations by providing legal advice and direction to our law enforcement partners.
Drafting various legal processes, including wiretaps, CSOs, GPS warrants, and other documents.
All phases of litigation except appeals.
