The Assistant Admissions Director oversees the admissions department and admissionactivities during the assigned shift. The assistant Director assigns responsibilities to assure prompt responseto-patient needs reviews andmaintains alldocuments and departmental logs and assigns physicians to admitted patients. The Assistant Director alsoperforms Admissions Counselorresponsibilities and provides telephonic and in person risk assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, determinesappropriate level of care and maintainscommunication with referral sources, families,patients and unit staff. The Assistant Director willsupervise department staff,including dailyschedule assignment, call management, orientation andcoordination of quality improvement inconjunction with Admissions Director.

Education:
A Master's degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology,, social work, counseling, or other related field.
Prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with substance abuse and dual diagnosis population, managing staff.
