The Assistant Admissions Director oversees the admissions department and activities during the assigned shift. Responsibilities include assigning tasks to ensure prompt response to patient needs, maintaining all documents and logs, assigning physicians to admitted patients, performing Admissions Counselor duties, providing risk assessments and crisis interventions both telephonically and in person, managing referrals and intake processes, determining appropriate levels of care, and maintaining communication with referral sources, families, patients, and staff. The Assistant Director will supervise department staff, including daily scheduling, call management, orientation, and quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with the Admissions Director.

Education: A Master's degree from an accredited college in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
Experience in intake, assessment, admission, and crisis intervention with substance abuse and dual diagnosis populations, including staff management.
