Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The Association Banking ("AB") Assistant is responsible for assisting AB Portfolio Managers, and AB Relationship Managers. This position will review retail account opening information, and loan files to verify that data is complete and meets established standards, process daily overdraft and exception items, and process documentation of loans and extensions. This role processes additional AB paperwork, runs reports, distributes reports and other documents, and may communicate with AB clients via email, phone, or in person.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Perform daily deposit account and servicing functions, including account openings, exception processing, fraud monitoring, transaction processing through FTM, fee reversals, account transfers, and resolution of account-related inquiries and research requests.

2. Review retail account and loan document packages for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established requirements; identify, track, and resolve document exceptions through the CenNet ticketing system.

3. Prepare reports related to loan document exception, or account opening exceptions. Communicate with clients related to items needed to clear noted exceptions.

4. Order internal or external loan documents through the appropriate process. Review and determine completeness and accuracy of the loan documents when received.

5. Assist with review and preparation of DocuSign packages. Monitor outstanding requests, and re-send DocuSign packages when needed.

6. Receive and respond to internal and external inquiries related to retail accounts existing loans. Refer more complex inquiries to the appropriate party for resolution.

7. Communicate with AB clients via email, phone, or in-person.

8. Support basic loan processing functions, including ordering Customer Identification Program (CIP) documentation and related loan servicing tasks.

9. Manage internal and external research requests, including statement retrieval, account inquiries, and error resolution.

10. Upload, index, and maintain loan documentation in nCino and DocMan, while communicating with clients to obtain missing account or loan documentation and ensure timely document completion.

11. Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned.

12. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

13. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting, computer, etc. Equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college plus 4 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of known variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats.
