Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The Branch Operations and Development Representative processes a wide range of financial transactions for customers, sells negotiable instruments, cross-sells Bank products, and suggests possible services. This position answers questions, builds relationships with customers, and handles all preparations for customers to begin receiving services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • 1. Provides services to consumers and business accounts, including assessing customer needs and cross-sells appropriate products and services.
  • 2. Opens accounts including checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, and other products offered by the bank.
  • 3. Prepares new loan requests to submit to loan processing.
  • 4. Orders supporting documentation and ensures its arrival.
  • 5. Processes draw requests, loan payments, and transfers.
  • 6. Prepares loan package for shipping and booking.
  • 7. Performs loan origination, portfolio management, and processing.
  • 8. Tracks and monitors all required documents and packets.
  • 9. Closes and funds loans when required.
  • 10. Reviews completed LOM for accuracy and submits to loan operations.
  • 11. Participates in clearing collateral and credit exceptions.
  • 12. Reviews and verifies loan files are complete and meets established standards.
  • 13. Pulls maturity and past-due reports.
  • 14. Refers new business to company subsidiaries, such as insurance, mortgage, and brokerage.
  • 15. Connects with referrals made by other team members.
  • 16. Accompanies commercial lenders on calls to build and retain customer relationships.
  • 17. Resolves customer concerns and ensures effective long-term problem resolution.
  • 18. Provides ancillary services such as notary services.
  • 19. Responds to customer inquiries relating to products, rates, and services promptly and professionally to ensure friendly and efficient customer service.
  • 20. Supports and contributes to the attainment of branch goals.
  • 21. Maintains a positive, friendly, and professional attitude and appearance.
  • 22. Represents the Bank by attending, volunteering and participating in community, and networking events.
  • 23. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • 24. Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned.
  • 25. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting, computer, etc. Equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence. ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization. Ability to read, analyze, and understand general business/company related articles and professional journals; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
