Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking an Associate Wiring Design and Installation Engineer (Level 2) in North Charleston, SC. You will focus on 787 seats and interiors, developing cable routing, harness installation details, and brackets while ensuring safety and quality.

You will work with a lead engineer to analyze requirements, support design reviews, and coordinate with factory teams to enable efficient production on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical) or non-US equivalent
• 2+ years of experience with wire harness, electrical and/or mechanical design
• Experience with Aviation/Aerospace interiors is preferred
• Proficient in CAD tools, especially CATIA V5

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs (e.g., cable routing and geometry, brackets) for aircraft interiors.
• Define physical routing layout of wire routing throughout the airplane, including supports and brackets, ensuring safety and proper parts selection.
• Collaborate with factory partners to ensure designs can be built safely and efficiently; participate in supplier capability reviews and source selection.
• Analyze functional and physical requirements to assure integrated designs and system architecture; support design reviews and issue resolutions.
