Job summary

Boeing is seeking mid-level or senior Structures and Payloads Design Engineers to join the Seats Integration Team in North Charleston, South Carolina. You will provide installation and delivery engineering support during build, outfitting, and final delivery, interfacing with factory teams, suppliers, and airline customers to resolve issues that affect schedule and compliance.

The role emphasizes rapid troubleshooting, disposition writing, and collaboration across IPTs to ensure on-time

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, or Materials)
• 5+ years of engineering experience including design, integration or certification

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day installation and delivery engineering support during build, outfitting, and final delivery activities
• Lead rapid troubleshooting and root cause resolution for emergent build issues related to seat installation and interfaces
• Coordinate corrective actions with suppliers, production teams, IPTs to minimize schedule impact and ensure compliance
• Author and release engineering dispositions, field fixes, and installation procedures for on-wing fixes
• Review and approve supplier technical data and installation packages for factory readiness
• Support aircraft acceptance events with airline customers and close delivery nonconformances
• Capture lessons learned and drive design or process improvements to prevent recurrence
• Interface with FAA as needed for certification/delivery disposition
