We are working on behalf of a well established, AAHA-accredited small animal hospital in Morehead City, NC that is looking to welcome an Associate Veterinarian to its collaborative team.

The practice has been caring for pets across North Carolina’s Crystal Coast for over 25 years and is known for thoughtful, individualised medicine and the kind of long-term client relationships that make general practice so rewarding. You will be working out of a modern hospital with a caseload that covers wellness, diagnostics, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and urgent care. Doctors see around 16 patients a day, supported by a roughly 2:1 support staff ratio, skilled technicians, and dedicated CSRs. Visiting orthopaedic and ultrasound specialists come in at least once a month, so you can keep more of your complex cases in-house.

The pace is busy, and the doctors genuinely work together to manage the day. You will have full medical autonomy, the backing of solid medical systems, and a leadership team that values open communication. Compensation is built to reward good medicine, with a base salary of $130,000 to $145,000 plus 20% production, an annual cash incentive tied to your production, transparent metrics, and no negative accrual.

Outside the hospital, Morehead City offers an easygoing coastal lifestyle with beaches, waterways, boating, fishing, great local seafood, and easy access to Atlantic Beach and Beaufort.
