Job summary

MedPro Group invites applications for an entry-level associate underwriter position in Richardson, TX. You will support underwriting teams, perform data entry, client service, and policy/endorsement issuance while building a small book of LPL business with guidance from senior underwriters.

You will underwrite and analyze risks, apply appropriate pricing and terms, and maintain strong communication with internal teams to meet client expectations and company standards.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in business or related field preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and able to learn company systems to a high level of competence.
• Previous experience in insurance or office environment desired.
• Additional education in insurance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assume the role and duties of an entry-level associate underwriter, supporting underwriting teams by multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform data entry, client service, as well as policy and endorsement issuance.
• Maintain a small book of LPL business with guidance from more experienced underwriters and assists other underwriters as needed.
• Underwrite and analyze LPL risks; offer appropriate underwriting solutions for clients while focusing on profitability as determined by the company.
• Use underwriting information to meet and exceed client expectations with timely turnaround and pricing and insurance structure.
• Engage and maintain excellent communication with internal team members; meet MedPro Group's standards of obsessive client focus to each AttPro client.
• Perform risk analysis including coverage evaluation and terms and conditions of offer; apply risk analysis to determine appropriate structure and pricing, seeking authority from more experienced underwriters.
• Travel with experienced underwriter or market management, providing support as the key contact for assigned distribution partners; address concerns and opportunities for new business growth, and retain existing business across all segments.
• Establish and maintain communication with internal teams; collaborate to identify opportunities and strategies to increase new business writings and retain existing customers.
• Exhibit proficiency on AttPro's underwriting systems, forms, procedures, and underwriting standards.
• Work within authority and understand escalation requirements within the company.
• Take on other duties as assigned.
