Job summary

MedPro Group, a Berkshire Hathaway insurer, is seeking an experienced claims professional on the Physicians & Surgeons team focused on the Western US. You will confirm coverage, manage claims and suits, and select legal counsel to protect policyholders.

You will lead litigation with outside counsel, post reserves for losses, negotiate settlements, and support insureds while aiding sales and retention efforts. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of claim handling experience, preferably healthcare liability, professional liability or other liability claims.
• J.D. (preferred), but may consider less, if the candidate possesses other, pertinent industry experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and competencies.
