Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking an Associate Travel Demand Modeler to join the Advisory Services, Systems Analysis Group. You will develop state-of-the-art travel demand models and deliver data-driven insights for transportation policy and investment decisions.

Collaborate with a network of modelers, planners, and data scientists to analyze big data sets, surveys, and mobility data, translating results into compelling visuals for stakeholders and supporting career growth in a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 1–3 years in travel demand modeling.
• Strong understanding of travel behavior and forecasting methods.
• Proficiency in Python or R for data processing and scripting.
• Experience with Cube, TransCAD, or EMME.
• Experience building automated reporting and dashboards (Tableau/PowerBI/R Shiny).
• GIS experience (ArcGIS/QGIS) for spatial analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, apply, and maintain travel demand forecasting models (regional/statewide).
• Deliver data-driven insights to inform policy, planning, and investments.
• Integrate big data, household surveys, and mobility datasets to improve models.
• Collaborate with public and private planning agencies nationwide.
• Translate model results into clear visualizations for diverse audiences.
• Support innovation, mentorship, and professional growth within the team.
