Job summary

The State of Connecticut invites applications for an Associate Research Analyst in the BETP, based in New Britain, CT. The role focuses on research design, data analysis, and policy support for transportation electrification and related decarbonization efforts.

You will synthesize data, engage with internal teams and external stakeholders, and contribute to reports and briefs that inform state energy policies and regulatory dockets. Hybrid work is available after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Seven years of professional experience in research, data analysis or economics.
• One year of General Experience at the level of a Research Analyst.
• College training may substitute for General Experience (15 semester hours = 1/2 year, up to 4 years for a Bachelor's).
• A Master’s degree may substitute for one additional year of General Experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs most complex duties in research design and implementation.
• Develops and conducts formal research methodologies and analyzes data.
• Designs data collection forms and develops procedures.
• Performs complex statistical analysis.
• Prepares comprehensive narrative and statistical reports.
• Collaborates with agency staff and external stakeholders on research projects.
