Pennoni Associates seeks an Associate Traffic Engineer for our Clearwater or Tampa, FL offices. Bring 4–8 years of traffic engineering experience to assist on highway and bridge projects, lead traffic studies, and help develop TMPs and TIS. Proficiency in Synchro, HCM, VISSIM, SIDRA and FDOT familiarity is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s degree a plus.
• 4–8 years of relevant work experience in traffic engineering encouraged.
• Experience with FDOT/public sector clients and traffic software/tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with complex traffic engineering tasks on highway/bridge projects.
• Lead and develop traffic studies and highway occupancy permits.
• Signage and pavement marking design; support TMPs and TIS development.
• Assist with maintenance of traffic schemes, construction phasing, and traffic control plans.
• Provide guidance to staff and mentor junior engineers.
