Job summary

Pennoni Associates Inc. is seeking an Associate Traffic Engineer to work in either the Clearwater or Tampa, FL office with 4–8 years of experience. You will handle complex traffic engineering tasks, lead traffic studies, and assist with TMPs and TIS. The role includes mentoring staff and coordinating with public sector clients.

The position requires a Civil Engineering degree and proficiency with Synchro, VISSIM, SIDRA, and Microstation. Office is in Florida with on-site work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree is a plus.
• 4–8 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Microstation, Highway Capacity Software, Synchro/SimTraffic.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with complex traffic engineering tasks on highway and bridge projects.
• Lead traffic studies and highway occupancy permits.
• Prepare Maintenance of Traffic schemes, construction phasing and traffic control plans.
• Develop TMPs and Traffic Impact Studies (TIS).
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to staff.
• Assist with development of project cost estimates and specifications.
