Job summary

Sierra Health and Wellness is seeking part-time Associate Therapist or Licensed Therapist to provide individual, family, and group therapy for clients in an inpatient setting. The role emphasizes risk assessment, documentation, and collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team.

The position requires a master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or professional counseling, and current state registration. HIPAA and driver’s license are needed for duties and transport.

Qualifications

• Must possess a master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or professional counseling.
• Must obtain an associate registration number with the Board of Behavioral Sciences
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License
• Two-year experience in Drug and Alcohol counseling is preferred but not required.
• HIPAA/client confidentiality knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs journey-level professional casework and clinical services with clients in treatment.
• Assesses and monitors clients’ behaviors during treatment for chemical and alcohol abuse.
• Conducts individual, family, and group therapy; interviews clients and relatives.
• Prepares verbal, written, and statistical reports for treatment teams.
• Participates in evaluative and diagnostic staff conferences and collaborative treatment with other agencies.
