Job summary

Sierra Health and Wellness in Sacramento, CA is seeking an Associate Therapist or Licensed Therapist for a part-time shift (8:00am–5:00pm, Sundays and Mondays). The role focuses on individual, family, and group therapy, with collaboration across agencies and documentation duties.

Requirements include a master's degree, associate registration, valid driver’s license, and HIPAA knowledge. Two years of drug/alcohol counseling experience is preferred. Competitive hourly pay applies.

Qualifications

• Must possess a master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or counseling.
• Must obtain an associate registration number with the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Two-year experience in Drug and Alcohol counseling (preferred, not required).
• HIPAA/client confidentiality and personal rights familiarity.
• CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs journey-level professional casework and clinical services with clients in treatment.
• Assesses and monitors clients’ behaviors during treatment for chemical and alcohol abuse.
• Works as a team member with other professionals.
• Conducts individual, family, and group therapy; interviews clients and relatives.
• Participates in collaborative treatment with other agencies and reports.
