Qualifications

• Must hold a state-registered mental health professional license (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC).
• Master’s degree in psychology or social work or related field; 2+ years in drug/alcohol counseling may be considered.

• Plan, supervise, and schedule staff; participate in hiring and performance management.
• Provide training, coaching, and professional development; address performance issues.
• Deliver mental health and substance use treatment; provide individual, group, and family therapy.
• Assess client progress; participate in treatment and aftercare planning with the team.

• Respond to clinical emergencies; document in the EHR; maintain confidentiality.
• Review charts for quality and compliance; evaluate program effectiveness.

Job Summary

The Clinical Manager oversees the clinical team, supports staff development, and ensures high-quality client care. This role provides direct client services, including individual and group therapy, assessments, treatment planning, and crisis response. The supervisor also supports program operations through chart audits, compliance activities, staff training, and clinical program development to ensure services meet program standards.

Essential Functions

• Plan, assign, schedule, and supervise the work of assigned staff, including participating in hiring and performance management.
• Provide training, coaching, mentoring, and professional development; address performance and conflict issues as needed.
• Deliver mental health and substance use disorder treatment consistent with organizational philosophy and approved practices.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy services.
• Assess and monitor client progress and participate in treatment and aftercare planning with the multidisciplinary team.
• Coordinate care with outside agencies and community partners.
• Respond to clinical emergencies and urgent client needs.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a clinical resource and support staff.
• Review charts for quality, completeness, and compliance with standards of care.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and services.
• Provide coverage as needed and participate in the on-call rotation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Education And Experience

• Maintain a license as a mental health professional regulated by the state board (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC)
• Master’s Degree in Psychology, or Social Work or other related field or a combination of education and/or two (2) or more years of experience drug and alcohol counseling.
• Certified in CPR/First Aid (within 30 days of hire)
