Job summary

Consumers Energy is seeking an Associate Technical Instructor to deliver health, safety and environmental training for employees in the utility sector. You will support curriculum development, assessments, and instructional materials across technical topics.

The role focuses on safety topics with MIOSHA and other regulatory knowledge, and requires collaboration with multiple teams to ensure up-to-date learning experiences. This is a hybrid position with onsite days in Michigan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, education, or equivalent with learning experience.
• Associate's degree in a technical field with 2+ years in a learning setting and knowledge of adult learning theories.
• High School diploma with 4+ years of relevant learning experience and knowledge of adult learning concepts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver engaging lectures, presentations, and interactive sessions for employees in technical topics.
• Collaborate with instructors to revise lessons, curriculum, and materials.
• Assess employee learning and progress using approved methods.
• Support lean methodologies to improve learning solutions and cost efficiency.
• Manage documents accurately and maintain records.
• Collaborate with safety reps and partners to align instructional strategies.
• Develop instructor certifications and participate in professional development.
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.
