Job summary

Consumers Energy is seeking an Associate Technical Instructor to support delivery of high-quality instruction in Health, Safety and Environmental classes. You will assist instructors, develop curriculum, and ensure engaging learning experiences for employees in highly technical utility operations.

The role emphasizes knowledge of MIOSHA and EGLE-style regulations, and requires coordinating on-site days Monday, Tuesday and Thursday across Lansing, Alma, or Grand Rapids centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or equivalent in a technical field or education, with applicable training experience
• Experience applying adult learning theory to curriculum design and delivery
• Ability to develop engaging training content and assess learner progress

Responsibilities

• Assist Technical Instructors to deliver lectures and interactive sessions for highly technical topics
• Revise lesson plans and instructional materials to meet objectives
• Assess learner progress using approved methods
• Support lean initiatives to improve learning efficiency and cost
• Collaborate with training committees and safety reps to align curricula
• Develop instructor certifications and participate in professional development
