Job summary

Manual Labor Hemlock CDC in Moreno Valley, CA is hiring an Associate Teacher to supervise and develop children under the lead teacher. You will implement the learning environment, follow Title 22/Title 5 regulations, and support various developmental activities.

The role requires DRDP/ASQ assessments, CLASS and ERS training, and ongoing professional development. Flexibility and physical stamina are essential for this on-site position.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 12 ECE semester units, including core classes.
• Associate Teacher Level Permit is required.
• At least 1 year experience within the last four years ( infants/toddlers: 6 months in age group).
• DRDP Rater Certification must be obtained within three months of hire and remain valid during employment.
• CLASS training completed; PITC training within 1 year for Infant/Toddler Educators or as provided by administration.
• ERS Training within 6 months for Infant/Toddler CDSS educators.
• Must be able to bend and lift up to ~40 pounds; maintain licensing status with Community Care Licensing.
• Professional development: minimum 21 hours per year.

Responsibilities

• Assume Lead Teacher responsibilities in her/his absence, including classroom management and curriculum implementation.
• Follow a daily schedule with activities supporting developmental domains and motor skills.
• Engage in DAP interactions to foster social skills through quality interactions.
• Develop relationships with children and families and learn about their communities.
• Complete and maintain health checks, meal counts, DRDP, ERS, ASQ assessments, and learning plans.
• Maintain classroom environment and participate in opening/closing routines.
• Lead nap/rest periods and ensure safe sleep practices.
