Job summary

The Associate Teacher position in Riverside, CA supports the Lead Teacher in supervision, development, education, and assessment of children. You will help maintain a nurturing learning environment and ensure compliance with Title 22 and Title 5 regulations.

Responsibilities include stepping in for the Lead Teacher when needed, implementing DAP curriculum, engaging families, and keeping accurate health and learning records.

Qualifications

• Must have 12 ECE semester units and an Associate Teacher Permit.
• DRDP Rater Certification must be obtained within three months of hire.
• Completion of CLASS and ERS training is required, PITC training for Infant/Toddler Educators if available.

Responsibilities

• Stand in for Lead Teacher in their absence and manage the classroom.
• Follow daily schedules balancing indoor/outdoor activities and developmental goals.
• Engage in DAP interactions to foster social skills and learning.
• Build relationships with children and their families and learn about their communities.
• Assist with DRDP/ASQ assessments and parent conferences under Lead Teacher guidance.
• Maintain health checks, attendance, meal records, and learning plans.
• Lead nap/rest periods and ensure safe sleep procedures for infants.
• Supervise Classroom Assistants and support professional development; adhere to NAEYC and state standards.
