Job summary

KIPP NYC Public Schools is seeking an Associate Teacher to work alongside a lead teacher, developing teaching skills and gaining classroom experience in NYC. The one-year fellowship includes a master’s program that leads to NYS certification and tuition-funded options.

The role requires full-time attendance beginning August 2026, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, feedback, and professional growth within a mission-driven school culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution.
• Strong teamwork and mission-driven culture.
• Open to feedback and willing to learn.
• Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Lead Teacher to plan and deliver a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum.
• Use data to support small groups and individual students.
• Plan and deliver daily small group intervention lessons.
• Provide coverage during Lead Teacher absences and ensure high-quality instruction.
