Job summary

Educare of Omaha, Inc. is hiring for an Associate Teacher (Early Childhood Education) in Omaha, NE.

The role supports Lead Teachers to implement the education program across a full-time schedule (40 hours/week, Mon-Fri) with hours typically between 7:00am and 5:30pm. The position emphasizes developmentally appropriate practices aligned with Head Start/Early Head Start standards and state licensing guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
• A CDA certification will be required to be attained.
• Six months’ experience teaching in an early childhood program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe, assess, and document each child’s health, skills, behavior, growth and development.
• Provide opportunities for children to develop positive self-images and experience success.
• Develop individualized lesson plans for each child as assigned.
• Coordinate referrals for children with special needs or mental health needs.
• Assist transitions from infant/toddler to preschool and preschool to kindergarten.
• Foster positive relationships with all children in the classroom.
• Maintain an attractive and stimulating learning environment.
• Ensure supervision and safety of all children at all times.
• Complete necessary paperwork including developmental assessments and newsletters.
