Job summary

Crux is scaling its Structuring team, seeking an Associate, Debt Capital Markets to support the origination and execution of financings across debt, tax equity, and advisory services for renewables projects. You will model, analyze, and prepare client materials in a fast-paced, startup environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in investment banking, structured finance, or energy infrastructure, strong Excel/VBA, and a passion for applying AI-enabled tools to capital markets workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or MS a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support transaction structuring execution across debt mandates, including modeling, diligence coordination, and documentation. Prepare client-facing materials, including financing presentations, credit memos, investor marketing materials, and internal approvals
• Support advisory mandates, including financing alternatives analysis, capital raising strategy, and process management for sponsors and developers.
• Conduct capital structure, pricing, and credit analysis across renewable energy asset classes.
• Participate in strategic meetings with clients on financing alternatives, market positioning, and structuring considerations.
• Interface directly with capital providers, developers, sponsors, and external advisors.
• Work closely with senior members of the Structuring team to drive transactions from intake through term sheets, and maintain active market intelligence.
• Leverage technology and AI-enabled tools to increase accuracy and efficiency in modeling, diligence, and reporting.
• Contribute to process improvements and template standardization (models, memos, term sheets) across the Structuring team.
• Support platform initiatives to scale capital markets workflows and develop new tech-enabled products and solutions for financing processes.
