Job summary

Liberty Mutual Investments seeks an Associate to drive and scale the $3.5 billion Tax-Driven Investments mandate across TTC, RTE, and LIHTC. The role sits at the intersection of project finance, energy transition policy, and institutional portfolio management.

You will lead transaction structuring, diligence, and negotiations, coordinate with Tax, Legal, Risk, and Accounting, and manage existing TTC, RTE, and LIHTC positions while building relationships with sponsors and developers.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of finance, economics or accounting foundations.
• Hands-on experience structuring and closing transactions in tax equity or related fields.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with ITC/PTC mechanics and LIHTC structures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of investment diligence across TTC, RTE and LIHTC including financial modeling and risk assessment.
• Own end-to-end transaction structuring and negotiation through close, coordinating with Tax, Legal, Treasury, Risk and Accounting.
• Manage active TTC, RTE and LIHTC positions across their lifecycles and serve as primary contact with counterparties.
• Develop and deepen relationships with renewable energy developers, syndicators and other counterparties to support pipeline origination.
• Collaborate with Tax, Corporate Treasury and other investment teams to align workstreams with broader goals.
