Job summary

Ellucian is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer to build and maintain automations that move data between the University’s core systems at Union College of Union County, NJ in Cranford. The role emphasizes cloud-to-on-premises integrations, reliable data processing, and proactive monitoring.

You will work with JavaScript, JSON, APIs, and PostgreSQL to develop integrations, transform data, and create SQL-based reports supporting operational and business needs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with JavaScript, JSON, APIs, and web services.
• Strong PostgreSQL/SQL skills for report writing, data analysis, querying, and troubleshooting.
• Experience creating and maintaining integrations and data transformations.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain integrations between cloud and on-premises systems using APIs and web services.
• Meet with staff to understand processes and design automated solutions.
• Design forms and automated workflows with Ellucian Integration Management.
• Write SQL/PostgreSQL queries and develop reports from College data sources.
• Monitor integrations, troubleshoot errors, and ensure reliable data processing.
• Document integrations, data mappings, and processes for maintenance.
