Job summary

Ellucian powers innovation for higher education and supports Rivier University in Nashua, NH with a dedicated integration engineering team. This Systems Integration Engineer role focuses on building automations that move data between cloud and on-premises systems, replacing manual processes with reliable, monitored workflows.

You will collaborate with university staff to understand processes, develop REST API integrations, and maintain PowerShell automations in Azure and on-premises.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in systems administration, integration, IT engineering, or a similar technical role.
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills, including scripts that call web APIs.
• Practical experience with REST APIs: authentication, working with JSON, and handling errors.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory and single sign-on concepts.
• Understanding of reading and writing basic SQL queries.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Automate or similar workflow automation.
• Comfort working on Windows Server: scheduled tasks, service accounts, permissions, and logs.
• Ability to talk with non-technical staff and translate needs into solutions.
• Good judgment handling confidential student and employee information, with privacy awareness for AI tools.
• Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite per week at Rivier University, Nashua, NH.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain integrations between cloud and on-premises systems using REST APIs and scripting.
• Automate account lifecycle and identity processes across Active Directory, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365.
• Write and support scheduled PowerShell automations running on-premises and in Azure.
• Develop workflows and light internal tools to replace manual work.
• Meet with staff to understand processes before automation.
• Write queries and pull reports from University data sources.
• Identify AI tool opportunities and build responsible solutions.
• Document work for team support.
• Monitor automations and resolve failures.
• Take on project work via help desk and escalate broader issues as needed.
• Occasional after-hours work for maintenance windows, typically <4 hours per month.
