QVC Group is hiring an Associate Store Manager for Ballard Designs in Oak Brook, IL. The role focuses on leadership, talent development, and delivering an inspiring shopping experience to guests in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will report to the Store Leader and drive sales, brand standards, and operational excellence onsite at the Oak Brook location.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of management experience in specialty retail.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Workday, Kronos, and POS systems.
• Availability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality Sales Associate training that includes product knowledge and benefits of the assortment.
• Provide leadership to grow sales and oversee store operations and HR responsibilities to ensure guest satisfaction, productivity and profitability.
• Create plans to improve EBITDA by delivering an exceptional guest experience.
• Work with the Store Leader to increase sales and guest loyalty through programs and events.
• Recruit and train Team Members in all open positions.

As Associate Store Manager, you will focus on hiring and retaining great talent to deliver an inspiring shopping experience in which our guests feel inspired and empowered to customize their space. You will promote the Ballard Designs brand at every guest encounter and ensure your stellar team exemplifies brand values, standards, and experiences. Your leadership will guide company programs, increase sales, and set your store to exceed all expectations.
• You will report to the Store Leader.

Where You'll Work

• This role is onsite and will require you to work from our OakBrook, IL location daily. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.
• Store hours: 10-8PM, Sunday 11-6PM

What You'll Do

• Deliver quality Sales Associate training that includes the development of product knowledge, understanding of primary characteristics, and the benefits of a unique product assortment
• Provide leadership to the team to build sales generation and operational/human resources responsibilities in the store to ensure guest satisfaction, maximum productivity and profitability, and execution of company procedures
• Make plans and improve EBITDA by creating the most fantastic place to work and shop by delivering an exceptional Guest experience.
• In partnership with the Store Leader, develop a strategy to increase sales and build guest loyalty through store programs, including Design Services, Ballard Designs Private Label Credit Card, community outreach, and additional corporate and regional events throughout the year
• Recruit and Train Team Members in all open positions

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years of management experience in specialty retail industry, but not required
• Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Outlook, Workday, Kronos, and POS Systems
• Availability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 50lbs
