Job summary

Frontgate in Dallas, TX is seeking an Assistant Manager of Operations to lead daily store operations, promote the Frontgate brand, and drive sales by delivering exceptional guest experiences.

You will report to the General Manager and oversee scheduling, inventory control, backroom organization, and bank/opening-closing duties. A 3+ year background in shipping/receiving management in specialty retail is required, with strong office software skills and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• 3+ years of shipping and receiving management experience in specialty retail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Workday, Kronos, and POS systems.
• Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, inventory management, backroom organization and store maintenance.
• Inspect and receive new merchandise; data entry into inventory system.
• Manage the performance of the associates and provide feedback.
• Ensure back areas meet company standards of cleanliness and a safe work environment.
• Perform store opening, closing, and banking activities.

Where You'll Work

• This role is onsite and will require you to work from our Dallas, TX, Frontgate location daily. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.

What You'll Do

• Perform a variety of operational activities including scheduling, inventory management, backroom organization and store maintenance.
• Experience with 'Division of Responsibility' understanding, competent in merchandise flow processes, including inspecting and receiving new merchandise and enter data into inventory management system.
• Manage the performance of the associates and provide feedback.
• Assure all back areas meet company standards of cleanliness and a safe work environment.
• Perform store opening, closing, and banking activities.

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years of shipping and receiving management experience in specialty retail industry.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Outlook, Workday, Kronos, and POS Systems.
• Lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 50lbs.
• Availability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
