enGen is seeking a software engineer to contribute to scalable, enterprise-wide software applications across digital channels. You will participate in all stages from idea to deployment, writing high-quality code and adhering to standards.

The role requires collaboration in an agile environment, design pattern knowledge, and a focus on performance, scalability, and user experience. Office-based role in a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field.
• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 1 year proficiency in design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
• 1 year experience in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, ACE, IIB/ITX, Informatica).
• 1 year of understanding of web services (REST, HTTPS, JSON).
• Knowledge of IBM Mainframe tech (COBOL, JCL, DB2).
• Experience with Generative AI and ethical use of AI tools.
• Experience with Visual Studio Code IDE.

Responsabilités

• Design and create engineering specifications for software applications and programs.
• Write code adhering to standards and perform code reviews.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, assist sprint planning, and complete sprints.
• Create stories (DoD, Acceptance Criteria) and manage tasks in RTC or Jira.
• Monitor progress and report issues to senior developers.
