Job summary

Ascensus is hiring multiple associate level engineers for its Software Engineering teams to work across areas including Full Stack, Front-End/UI, Back-End, QA/Test Automation, Data Engineering, Data Science, and DevOps. As an Associate Engineer, you will join a high-energy team delivering high-quality software using industry-best practices.

Curiosity and passion for software development are essential, with a focus on AI, automation, and rapid iteration.

Qualifications

• Up to two years of full time professional experience developing software & systems for small to medium business environments through internships, Co-ops or professional experience.
• Working experience in one or more programming or scripting languages.
• Experience in using Generative AI tools for software development.
• Understanding of object-oriented design, data structures and algorithms.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Passion for developing software.
• Experience participating in design discussions with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity or experience with Agile engineering practices (test driven development, continuous integration and pair programming, etc.)
• Experience in open source development.

• Protect, secure, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

• Analyze, implement, test, document and maintain new and current software applications with minimal oversight in support of achieving the business goals.
• Assist in estimating and planning throughout the software development life cycle.

Section 1: Position Summary

As an Associate Engineer at Ascensus, you will be working in a high-energy team, delivering high quality software using the best engineering practices in industry today.

As a Scrum team member, you will be responsible for delivering solutions that adhere to the software architecture strategy, coding standards, and established organizational policies and procedures.

The national average salary range for this role is 65-80k in base pay, exclusive of any bonuses and benefits. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salary offered will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, performance, and internal pay alignment. We do not anticipate that candidates hired will begin at the top of the range however, from time to time, it may occur on a case‑by‑case basis.
