Job summary

Ascensus is hiring multiple associate level engineers for our Software Engineering teams across Full Stack, Front-End/UI, Back-End, QA, Data, Data Science, and DevOps. As an Associate Engineer you will work in a high-energy team delivering high quality software using modern engineering practices with a focus on AI, automation, and rapid iteration.

You will participate as a Scrum team member delivering solutions aligned with architecture, coding standards, and corporate policies, building

Qualifications

• Up to two years of full time professional experience developing software & systems for small to medium business environments through internships, Co-ops or professional experience.
• Working experience in one or more programming or scripting languages.
• Experience in using Generative AI tools for software development.
• Understanding of object-oriented design, data structures and algorithms.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Passion for developing software.

• Protect confidential data and ensure proper handling against unauthorized access.
• Demonstrate I-Client service philosophy and Core Values in daily actions.
• Analyze, implement, test, document and maintain software applications with minimal oversight.
• Assist in estimating and planning throughout the software development life cycle.

As a Scrum team member, you willbe responsible fordelivering solutions that adhere to the software architecture strategy, coding standards, andestablishedorganizational policies and procedures.

• Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

• Analyze, implement, test, document and maintain new and current software applications with minimal oversight in support of achieving the business goals.

Section 3: Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements

• Up to twoyears offull time professional experience developing software & systems for small to medium business environments through internships,Co-opsor professional experience.
• Working experience in one or more programmingor scriptinglanguages
• Experience in using Generative AI tools for software development
• Understanding of object-oriented design, datastructuresand algorithms
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Passion for developing software
• Experienceparticipatingin design discussions with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity or experience with Agile engineering practices (test driven development, continuousintegrationand pair programming, etc.)
• Experience inopen sourcedevelopment

The national average salary range for this role is 65-80k in base pay, exclusive of any bonuses and benefits.This base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salary offered will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, performance, and internal pay alignment. We do not anticipate that candidates hired will begin at the top of the range however, from time to time, it may occur on a case-by-case basis.
