Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking an Associate Scientist - Onsite for a 12+ month contract in Thousand Oaks, CA. The role sits in a state-of-the-art Protein Chemistry team within a multidisciplinary Protein Therapeutics group, and requires a strong biochemistry background with hands-on protein purification or analytics experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience with chromatography techniques, data management in LIMS/ELN, and the ability to troubleshoot in a fast-paced lab

Qualifications

• Master's degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience OR Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience
• Strong background in biochemistry with hands-on experience in protein purification and/or protein analytics
• Experience with various preparative and analytical chromatography techniques
• Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and robust data handling capabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills suited to a fast-paced laboratory setting

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking an Associate Scientist - Onsite for a contract position with a Global Biotechnology Company located in Thousand Oaks, CA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This position joins a state-of-the-art Protein Chemistry team within a multidisciplinary Protein Therapeutics group. The ideal candidate is an early-to-mid-career scientist with a strong background in biochemistry and several years of hands‑on laboratory experience working directly with protein purification, protein analytics, or both. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills and robust data handling capabilities in a fast-paced laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct protein analytics using various analytical techniques (HPLC, MCE, etc.)
• Capture experimental data in LIMS/ELN systems
• Compile and analyze large datasets of protein purification and analytics results
• Summarize and present results and findings to work groups and project teams
• Contribute to the development of new processes and methods

Requirements

Desired skills

• Experience with protein purification with expertise in a variety of chromatography techniques (affinity, ion‑exchange, size‑exclusion, etc.) and software (Unicorn, ChromLab)
• Experience with protein analytical techniques (HPLC, MCE, etc.) and analysis software (Chromeleon, LabChip)
• Experience with data management and/or analysis platforms, software, or tools
• Familiarity with lab automation and high‑throughput purification workflows
• Ability to multi‑task and work flexibly and efficiently in a cross‑functional environment

Pay range

up to $28.85per hour
