North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM) seeks a Student Registration / Associate Registrar to oversee enrollment, records, and registrar services across Durham, Morganton, Online, and Connect programs. NCSSM and the Registrar’s Office foster an environment of collaboration across departments and divisions and support community-engaged service and research.
Work Hours, Monday-Friday 8-5, some Saturdays for events, some remote work in the summer. The Office of the Registrar is a part of the Enrollment Services department within the Academic Programs Division for NCSSM-Durham, NCSSM-Online, and NCSSM-Morganton. The unit also supports NCSSM Connect, in the Extended Learning division. The unit consists of the Registrar, two Associate Registrars, and the Attendance Officer. This position reports to the Registrar.

Management Preferences Master’s degree in a related field and experience in a secondary or post-secondary educational setting is strongly preferred. Experience in a registrar’s office is preferred. A solid grounding in legal and ethical issues of working with confidential records, especially student educational records, and knowledge of professional standards and practices related to secondary school curriculum. Significant knowledge of, and experience with, computerized records systems, and the ability to use, extract, and interpret data from computer and software systems. Advanced organizational skills. $62,115 - $63,787 Hiring salary will be determined based on education, experience, equity, budget, and market considerations.

Education and Experience Required: Master’s degree in Education, Educational Administration, Business Administration, Student Personnel Services, or a related field and at least 4 years’ related professional experience; or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Educational Administration, Business Administration, Student Personnel Services, or a related field plus alternative or equivalent professional training and experience may be substituted for the advanced degree on an exceptional basis.
