Job summary

New York Institute of Technology seeks an Associate Provost, Academic and Faculty Excellence to lead academic quality, curriculum, and policy across NYIT's schools. The role directs the Center for Faculty Excellence, designs faculty development programs, and serves as Acting Provost as needed.

Tenure-track leadership experience and strong collaboration with deans and the Faculty Senate are essential for advancing instructional quality and scholarly productivity.

Qualifications

• PhD or terminal degree required; tenure-track eligible at NYIT.
• Excellent written and oral communication across disciplines.
• Proven leadership in academic settings and policy development.
• Experience with faculty development, online/hybrid instruction, and program assessment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and set strategic direction for the Center for Faculty Excellence.
• Design and deliver faculty development programs across all schools and colleges.
• Advance inclusive, learner-centered teaching and use of instructional technologies including AI.
• Manage budget/resources and pursue external funding as appropriate.
• Represent the university in regional/national educational development networks.
